During his sophomore season, Gary transformed into the top defensive player with averaging 10.4 points and 8.8 rebounds each game and was named ACC Defensive Player of the Year.
At the end of his senior season, he recorded scoring 12.7 points with 8.0 rebounds each game. Clark led his team, Cincinnati Bearcats to win AAC season title and he was awarded Most Outstanding Player of the Tournament after scoring 16.3 points with 11.7 rebounds in each game of the tournament.
Gary remained undrafted in NBA draft 2018 but he joined Houston Rockets for Summer League. Later, he made his NBA regular-season debut in 2018 with a win against the New Orleans Pelicans. He signed to a multiple- contract with the Rockets and was waived by the franchise in 2020.
He was signed by the Orlando Magic in a 10-day contract and again signed a second 10-day contract. He proved himself yet again and the franchise signed him for the rest of the season.
