Ifeanyi Festus Ezeli-Ndulue is an Ex-NBA basketball player from Nigeria, born in Benin City. He has played as a point shooter for the Golden State Warriors.

His achievements include state-level titles during his high school career and different others. His greatest achievement is winning NBA championship title while playing from the Warriors in 2015.

Festus is born of Chukwuma Festus Ezeli and Patricia Ada Ezeli. He was brought up with his two brothers, Chucky Ezeli and Kenny Ezeli. His sister’s name is Oby Ezeli.

Festus Ezeli Education

Festus joined Igbinedion Education Centre in Benin City and later he got transferred to Jesuit High School in Sacramento for proper schooling.

After completing his early education, he got enrolled in the University of Vanderbilt, where he played basketball for Vanderbilt Commodores and also completed his graduation.

When Festus moved to America in Yuba City, he got enrolled in Jesuit High School while having no interest in playing basketball. His uncle was a driving force to encourage him to play basketball with having good height and agility in his doings.

So he decided to join the basketball team just for fun when he got enrolled at Vanderbilt University. He was a Biology student during his college. His studies and basketball are poles apart as basketball has nothing to do with Biology.

He played college basketball and learned basic techniques of gameplay but still as a newcomer, he was dominant in practice matches. He tried playing basketball but couldn’t make it up-to-the-mark. He said, “I didn’t know what I was doing,” while making initial attempts of basketball.

He was frustrated with the game when he could not perform well but he didn’t stop playing. After playing for Vanderbilt Commodores, he just started liking basketball. He averaged 13 points with 6.3 rebounds and was named SEC performer of the year award.

He also broke the record of maximum blocked shots in a season. He played 121 games in the NCAA career and managed to get a pretty decent average of 7.7 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.

Festus was picked by the Golden State Warriors in NBA draft 2012 and he signed his first rookie contract. Initially, Festus played as a replacement for Andrew Bogut and he got injured that season.

He made come back in 2014 and played as a regular player and opener for the Warriors and very soon he was also signed by Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA Developmental League. He scored career highest 16 points with victory against the Nuggets.

In 2015, Festus won his first NBA championship after defeating Cleveland Cavaliers. He helped his team win several matches and he averaged 4.2 points with 4.3 rebounds each game until he was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers.

He got injured after 1 month of his assignment to the franchise and suffered for 6 weeks but couldn’t recover. After several surgeries and lots of treatment, with getting no improvement, he decided to get retire from the NBA.
