Enes Kanter

Enes Kantar is a Turkish basketball player, born in Zurich, Switzerland. He is a center playing for Boston Celtics of NBA. Enes is a Bronze Medalist of FIBA Europe U-18 Championship where he represented the National Team of Turkey.

His other titles include the WWE 24/7 Champion award, Most Talented Player award winner of Albert Schweitzer Tournament and many more titles are proof of his competence and skillfulness.

Enes Kanter Family

Enes is a proud son of Gülsüm Kanter Mehmet Kanter. His father is Doctor of Medicine and started serving as a professor of Genetics and Histology at the University of Zurich while his mother is a nurse.

He has two brothers, Kerem Kanter and Ahmad Kantar and also one sister, Betul Kantar. His younger brother, Kerem is also a Turkish basketball player playing for Liga ACB club, Joventut Badalona.

Enes Kanter Education

Enes got his early education from the Hizmet group of schools, Ankara. He moved to the United States and he got enrolled in Findlay Prep established in Henderson, Nevada.

Later, he was transferred to Mountain State Academy in Beckley in West Virginia. There is he started going to a Preparatory School named Stoneridge in Simi Valley. After completing his schooling, he got enrolled in the University of Kentucky and completed his graduation.

Enes played college basketball for the Fenerbahçe basketball team and he participated in Euro-League and also in the Turkish Super League. He was offered scholarships from the Greek League Basketball team and also from Fenerbahçe, but he declined the offers.

He played basketball at the Stoneridge, where he participated in Nike Hoop Summit and he recorded scoring 34 points with 13 rebounds and broke a decade long point total record of Dirk Nowitzki.

Enes also played for Washington Huskies which is the basketball team of Washington University in the NCAA Tournament, before playing for Kentucky. While playing for Kentucky, he helped his team reach NCAA Division I Basketball Tournament.

Enes got picked by the Utah Jazz in NBA draft 2011. In his first rookie season, he averaged 4.6 points with 4.2 rebounds each game. The next season, he improved his average to 7.2 points with 4.3 rebounds each game and his average got better and better with seasons.

In 2015, Enes was traded to another team named, Oklahoma City Thunder and had multiple- contracts with various teams including the Detroit Pistons and Portland Trail Blazers. While playing for the Thunders, he scored 30 points and highest 20 rebounds which is a franchise record to rebounds in a particular game.

His highest point score is 33 against Portland Trailblazers with 72.2% shooting percentile. Enes revised his record of rebounds in 2018 when he was traded to New York Knicks and he scored 26 rebounds against the Memphis Grizzlies.

In 2019, Enes signed a contract with the Blazers where he averaged 13.1 points and 8.6 rebounds per game, as soon as he was traded to Boston Celtics.
