Ed Davis

Edward Adam Davis is an American basketball player, born in Washington, D.C. He is a power forward currently playing for the Utah Jazz. He belongs to the Afro-American ethnicity and is a Gemini.

He has played from different NBA franchises including Toronto Raptors, Erie BayHawks, Memphis Grizzlies, Los Angeles Lakers, Portland Trail Blazers, Brooklyn Nets and now Utah Jazz.

He was given the NCAA championship title, ACC All-Freshman Team honor, Mr. Basketball of Virginia State, McDonald’s All-American Game honor and others.

Ed attended Hanover High School in Mechanicsville, Virginia and later he was transferred to Benedictine High School, Richmond, Virginia. He got enrolled in the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed his graduation.

Ed played basketball at Hanover High School and then at Benedictine High School. He led his team to State Championship with averaging 22 points with 14 rebounds each game as a senior.

He joined North Carolina University and he made his team a tougher nut to crack during the NCAA Tournament. His average score was 8.2 points and 5.5 points for rebounds each game. He had a chance to enter the NBA draft but he decided to play for North Carolina.

In 2010, he hired an agency to enter the NBA draft. Ed was picked by Toronto Raptors in NBA draft 2010. He was traded to the Erie BayHawks but again traded back to the Raptors.

He made a good debut against the Washington Wizards with scoring 11 points and 6 rebounds. His highest score was 22 points in the match against the New York Knicks until he was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies.

Then, he signed contracts with Los Angeles Lakers and he was waived by the franchise after a season.

In 2015, Ed signed a three-year contract with the Blazers. He averaged 5.1 points with 6.9 rebounds each game in his 205 regular match appearances from the Blazers.

In 2019, Ed was again traded to Utah Jazz where he suffered from an injury and was given rest for a month. If we look at his career averages, we see an increase in the graph from his drafting team to Utah; his performance has remained consistent throughout his career.
