Dragan Bender is a Croatian professional basketball player, born in Čapljina, Bosnia. He is power forward player for the Bucks. He belongs to Croatian ethnicity and the young blood enjoys a good fan following.

Bender praises former Croatian basketball player, Tonic Kukoc as his ideal since his childhood where he used to watch his match videos and tried to play like Tonic. Bender was crazy about basketball and he usually used to watch Euro-League and also NBA sometimes in his childhood.
He joined Nikola Vujčić’s academy, who is a former basketball player and he helped Bender to become a versatile player. Bender was selected in the KK Split basketball club of Croatia and he helped his team reach A-1 Liga, which is a highly recognized league of Croatia.
In 2014, Bender joined KK Cedevita to participate in Euro-League Tournament. The same year, he signed a contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv, the team that plays in Israeli basketball premier league and also in Euro-League.
But, he was traded to Ironi Ramat Gan of Liga Leumit which is also a famous league of Israel. He scored his career’s first double-doubles in his debut match against Ramat HaSharon. He finished the league with an average of 9.7 points with 7.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists.
Later in 2015, Bender returned to the Tel Aviv for Israel Premier League. He made a victorious debut scoring 5 points and 3 rebounds against loss to Maccabi Kiryat Gat. His contract with the Tel Aviv came to an end when he was drafted in NBA.
Bender was picked by Phoenix Suns in NBA draft 2016, with being one of the highly valued players, he signed his first rookie contract with the Suns and his journey began. He played three seasons from the Suns and averaged 5.0 points and 3.2 rebounds each game.
His dream came true when he played as a senior after getting permission from the Suns in Euro-Basket 2017, where he averaged 4.3 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assists each game.
After being waived by the Suns, Bender signed a contract with Milwaukee Bucks of the NBA. He scored his career highest 27 points in G-League against loss to Windy City Bulls with 1 assist and 9 rebounds.
