Devin Lamar Harris is an American basketball player born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Devin plays at a point guard/ shooting guard position. He belongs to the Afro-American ethnic group.

He has won Wisconsin Mr. Basketball and Big Ten Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Year. He was honored with the Silver Basketball award which is a prestigious award presented each year by Chicago Tribune to deserving players.

While playing for Badgers in freshman season, his team won Big Ten Championship. During his sophomore season, he again made his team win the Championship.

He was picked by Dallas Mavericks in NBA drafting 2004. Soon he was traded to New Jersey Nets and then to Utah Jazz and Atlanta Hawks before his again trading in Dallas Mavericks. In his rookie season, his average score was 5.7 points, 2.2 points in assists in each game for Mavericks.

The next season, he improved his abilities & strategies and made an average of 9.9 points and 3.2 assists at end of the season. His average increased year-by-year. Because of his skills, he was named co-captain in 2007.

In his debut for the Nets, he scored 21 points with five assists but the Nets couldn’t reach playoffs after near half a decade.  He scored his career highest 47 points against the Suns and got the victory after 15 years on the Suns.

Devin earned $3 million after being traded from the Mavericks to New Jersey Nets. Devin was traded to Utah Jazz in a $30 million contract. After his come-back to Mavericks, Devin signed a contract of $1.3 million for one year.
